| His original question had little to do with the cost of the mods. Yes, when you are dealing with a twin TB motor you have to buy two of everything. But thats not why the VG is perceivably hard to mod. The major variable is space, not the motor. You can bolt HUGE turbos to a 2JZ in a supra and make HUGE power. And you can do it in an afternoon. The VG motor housed in the Z32 body does not lend to huge turbos or easy installation. Plain and simple. But for some reason, this was too hard for Nismoocow to figure out. The V configuration motor is quite capable of making power. There's no question there. But when you shoehorn it into a small compartment where it essentially bakes itself due to lack of space, you have power prohibiting factors all over the place. The VG CAN make big power, this has been proven by SGP, Greg Dupree, Z1, and others. But the fact that it is 'hard' to accomplish has little to do with the motor and a LOT to do with it's surroundings.
